Emonie's Closet was established in honor of my daughter, Emonie D. Canada. Emonie was in foster care for three years prior to becoming part of our family in 2004. On April 11, 2006 we adopted each other. Emonie was an energetic young woman who remembered her foster care days. Wearing too small shoes, changing foster care homes with minimal change of clothes. That one red dress. I was fortunate to be able to provide for Emonie her fashionista passions and natural gift to play sports. She loved clothes, sneakers and playing sports, but she was always ready and wanting to give back as she never forgot that part of her life. She was passionate for the less fortunate and had a huge heart for children. She is Emonie's Closet.
Emonie’s Closet is 100% comprised of volunteers who have a passion for giving back and for understanding the values of inner growth.

Emonie's Closet has been created for foster families to "shop" free of charge. Clothes, school supplies, toiletries, books and sports equipment will be available to those currently in foster care homes within the State of Georgia. Kinship and/ or a youth that has aged out of foster care are welcomed
*Future journeys will include sports, trade, business and life skill training.
Emonie's Closet foundation will solely be built on gratitude and love of donations. Each foster family will be able to shop once per quarter. They will be able to select up to a weeks worth of clothes, pack of new undergarments, pack of new socks, new toiletries, pair of shoes and (2) toys. Coats, sports equipment, school supplies and furniture will be provided on an as needed basis. If a new family member comes please let us know as well as if the current family member has a growth spurt within the quarter of allotted time. We accept items back as long as they are still in good condition so another child may have use for them.
Empower, promote confidence, and success with Georgia’s youth by showing them how much we appreciate them with a personal and unique shopping experience where the focus is on them. All “shopping” experiences are free of charge and by appointment only.
We accept newborn to adult sized clothes, shoes (all sizes), strollers, and cribs, diapers, and toiletries, socks, and under garments, toys, and sports equipment, school supplies, reading books, and first aid kits. Donated items should be new or gently used.
Thank you in advance for supporting Emonie’s Closet. Donations are being accepted now. The team can either pick up or arrange for a meet and drop off. Please call to schedule.
